Contribute to initiatives that capture CO2, boost biodiversity, and create new nature experiences. Together, we’re growing new forests – and you can join us.
At Destination NORD, we are committed to regenerative tourism – restoring forests and nature in our region. In collaboration with Klimaskovfonden (The Climate Forest Foundation), we support projects that establish new forests, benefitting the climate and the local community. These projects are funded by contributions from private individuals, including guests and tourism stakeholders in the destination.
The forests established by Klimaskovfonden are permanently protected, and their standards guarantee documented climate impact. By using nature’s own solutions to capture CO2, future generations will enjoy expanded forests and new opportunities to experience nature. These forests also safeguard water resources, create more space for wildlife, and improve conditions for biodiversity.
You can contribute to planting more forests in the destination you visit. By donating to Denmark’s climate efforts, you help us grow new forests that remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
