Hiking route: Hærvejen - 101 km
Hærvejen winds its way from North to South Jutland, so you can easily join the route anywhere. If you start in Frederikshavn, for example, you can spread the first four stages of the route over a few days. The route is long and there is plenty to experience along the way.
You'll be hiking in the heights of Bangsbo Deer Park and Ådal and from there you'll continue 106 metres above sea level to Øksnebjerg.
You'll cross the open spaces on your way to Omholt, where you can experience the area's many historic graves.
From there, the hike continues to large woodlands, bogs and past huts carved into the hillsides. From Hammer Bakker, you continue towards Aalborg's vibrant city life and the green breathing space of the Limfjord.
