So take the children to the water and let the vacation begin!
For the beach lovers
Bratten beach
North of Strandby, you will find Bratten Beach, a wonderful and child-friendly sandy beach with white sand and tall dunes. You'll easily find a sunny spot for the entire family to enjoy.
Sønderstrand
A perfect choice for families with children, and both strollers and wheelchairs can access the water via the paths through the low dunes. And if you need a relaxing break, you can walk up to the landmark Vippefyret.
Bisnap beach
A long beach with white sand where you can experience having your own bathing lake, as the sand occasionally forms small lagoons and islets. One of the absolute best beaches for all ages.
The Palmbeach
For slightly older children, we recommend The Palmbeach. It is Denmark's only palm beach, and in the Mediterranean atmosphere, you can, for example, play beach volleyball, enjoy ice cream, and settle into a cozy corner to relax.
Lyngså beach
If you prefer exploration over sunbathing, this is the place to go. You can go on a hunt for everything from amber to crabs, and you can cast your fishing line for species like garfish and flounder.
Swimming in the pools
If you're in Aalborg over the summer, you'll definitely need to cool off. Make sure to visit Vestre Fjordpark and take a dip – or several – in the fjord bath's many pools. The brave can take the plunge from the diving tower, and the little ones can splash around in the blue waves at the water playground.
